This session addressed the design of rockfall protection structures such as embankments, flexible nets and covered galleries exposed to dynamic loadings due to rock impacts. The 19 communications deal with experiments, numerical modelling, design guidelines and standardisation. This session offered the opportunity to hold fruitful exchanges between academics, engineers and practitioners concerned by recent developments in the field of the dynamic response of rock fall protection structures.
