Technologies for subtainable agricultural systems

Résumé

Cemagref is a public research institute that targets results directly useable in land and water management. The goal is to produce new knowledge and technical innovations for use by managers, decision-makers and companies in providing answers to the specific questions raised by society concerning resource management, land use and development. The ITAP unit (Information and technologies for Agro-Processes) based in Montpellier work on the design of new technologies and practices that take into account environmental impacts. Thus, it developps optics sensors based on digital vision and spectrometry for the characterization of vegetation. The outline of the presentation is first to present briefly the work realized in our team for by exemple design and building NIR sensor, portable sensors for yield, vineyard monitoring, machine vision developments for shape analysis in outdoor conditions, aerial imaging for Mediterranean vineyard. Then, I'll go on to discuss in more depth our work concerning hyperspectral imaging by presenting two examples of research done: (1) calibration of a pushbroom hyperspectral imaging system for in field measurement, (2) Methods for hyperspectral images processing taking into account the spectral and the spatial dimension of the data.
