Since 2009, a National Working Group on Biological Invasions in Aquatic Ecosystems (WG BIAE) has been established in France. As part of the group's work, a survey was instated on Invasive Alien Species (IAS) in aquatic environments and their management in metropolitan France. Its aims were to achieve a synthesis and the sharing of comprehensive actions and results, to facilitate exchanges between managers and overall achieve a distribution map of species and management actions at the French scale.
