Résumé

The focus of this chapter is on the future of resorts in France and in other tourist contexts, using parameters such as climate, factors concerning society an technology. SKi resorts are directly concerned with the evolution of a development model towards gretaer sustainabiliy. To answer this question, the chapter will begin by reminding that the creation of the resorts was based on a cyclic relationship between accommodation and ski lifts. The second part will emphasize the actual economic model, with the impacts of the urbanization, in economic, financial and social terms.
