Brazil is the one of the major producer and exporter in the world of bovine meat in an extremely competitive market. The requirements on the control of the origin and production of animals increase each time more and new solutions and alternatives must be explored to keep the production of meat and the market of exportation. In this aspect the animal traceability becomes important as half to assist in the guarantee of the register of the life of an animal, since its birth until its abates and exportation, including the permanence in farms and contacts with other animals. The OTAG Project (Operational Management and Geo-decisional Prototype you the Agricultural Track and Trace Production) foresees the use of electronic devices with GPS in animals, by means of electronic necklaces. From the data of animal movement, associates to other databases a series of information for diverse levels of users can be gotten. This work presents the use of trajectories for the identification of contacts between animals, from the georeferenced data of animal movement. The database of contacts between animals makes possible the identification of possible animals that had contaminated or can be contaminated from one determined occurrence of the foot-and-mouth disease, one of the illnesses that can reach the animals and harm the production of bovine meat.
